IPL 2024: Jacques scored a century and Kohli scored a half-century, Bengaluru defeated Gujarat by 9 wickets.

 


In the 45th match of IPL 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Gujarat Titans by 9 wickets with the help of Will Jacques' century and Virat Kohli's half-century. In this match played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, RCB won the toss and decided to bowl. Gujarat played Sandeep Warrier in place of Sai Sudarshan as an impact player. 

Batting first, Gujarat scored 200 runs losing 3 wickets in 20 overs. Sudarshan scored the most runs for the team. He played an unbeaten half-century of 84 runs with the help of 8 fours and 4 sixes in 49 balls. Shahrukh Khan played a half-century of 58 runs in 30 balls with the help of 3 fours and 5 sixes. 

Sudarshan and Shahrukh made a partnership of 86 (45) runs for the third wicket. David Miller remained unbeaten after scoring 26 runs in 19 balls with the help of 2 fours and a six. Sudarshan and Miller made a partnership of 69* (36) runs for the fourth wicket. Swapnil Singh, Mohammed Siraj and Glenn Maxwell got one wicket each from Bengaluru. 

RCB, chasing the target, won the match by losing one wicket in 16 overs and scoring 206 runs. Will Jacques scored the most runs for Bengaluru. He played an unbeaten century of 100 runs with the help of 5 fours and 10 sixes in 41 balls. He completed his century by hitting a six. Virat Kohli played a half-century of 70* runs in 44 balls with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes. Jacques and Kohli added 166* (74) runs for the second wicket. Faf du Plessis scored 24 runs in 12 balls with the help of one four and 3 sixes. Virat and Faf made a partnership of 40 (23) runs for the first wicket. Sai Kishore got the only wicket from Gujarat.
