Which cow in the cowshed will give birth to a baby first? This AI system will tell everything

If you also do animal husbandry and rear cows, then this information is for you. You will benefit a lot from this information. Know here which is the system with AI technology in which you will know in advance that the cow is going to give birth to her child.

Which cow in the cowshed will give birth to a baby first? It becomes very difficult to know this. In such a situation, people rearing cows have to do frequent checkups before one month of delivery of the cow. There is always tension as to which day the cow will be delivered. To free you from this worry, today we will tell you about an AI system with the help of which you will be able to find out which of your cows will give birth to a child first. Actually, Nikon has introduced an AI-equipped setup which can inform the cattle rearer at the time of delivery of the cow.

Entry of AI in animal husbandry

This will prove helpful when the delivery date of the cow approaches. This can reduce the need for frequent checkups during this period. By monitoring the activity of cows through cameras installed on farms, the setup immediately notifies farmers when a cow gets close to calving.

How will this system help?

This setup includes a security-style camera paired with an AI system. A pregnant cow usually experiences some activity about five hours before giving birth, including increased activity and the beginning of the calf's release of the amniotic sac.

The integrated setup uses a special smartphone app that issues alerts when a cow is nearing delivery, helping farmers take immediate action in times of need.

Nikon started AI training in late 2021

Nikon began AI testing in H4 2021 and conducted a proof-of-concept test on four farms in Japan in February 2023.

Participating farmers gave positive feedback regarding this setup. The farmers involved in the testing said that they give birth to about 60 calves every year. During this period, the cows have to be checked every few hours for about a month. This system helped him a lot.
