Venkaiah Naidu-Baijayanti Mala will be awarded Padma Vibhushan, Mithun Chakraborty will be awarded Padma Bhushan.

After the Padmashree award, the government has now also announced Padma Vibhushan. The government has decided to honor former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu with Padma Vibhushan.

Padma Awards were announced late night by the Government of India, in which apart from the 34 names announced for Padmashree, famous yesteryear actress Baijayanti Mala and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu were also announced to be awarded Padma Vibhushan. Apart from this, it was announced that Mithun Chakraborty will be awarded Padma Bhushan.

Along with this, the government will also honor former Union Minister Ram Naik, playback singer Usha Uthup, former Union Health Minister Dr CP Thakur and the first woman Supreme Court judge M Fatima Bibi with the Padma Bhushan award. The government has decided to honor 110 people with the Padma Shri award.
