In Telangana, Anti-Corruption Bureau officials raided the premises of a town planning officer. During this period, Rs 40 lakh in cash and property and other valuables worth Rs 100 crore were allegedly recovered. The government official has been arrested.

So much wealth has been found in the house of a government official in Telangana that the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) team that went to raid was shocked to see it. The raid was conducted at the house of Shiva Balakrishna, Secretary of Telangana State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TSRERA) and former Director of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). It has been told that property worth more than Rs 100 crore has been recovered from the house of a government official.

The officer has a luxurious bungalow in a posh area of Hyderabad city. Looking at the house, it does not seem that it is the bungalow of an officer but of a big industrialist. 14 ACB teams had reached the officer's premises to raid. The ACB officers were surprised to see the bungalow. ACB's preliminary investigation reveals that Balakrishna has allegedly earned crores of rupees by facilitating permits for several real estate companies.

During the search, Rs 40 lakh in cash was seized from the house of Shiv Balakrishna. More than 2 kg gold jewelery was found. There are 40 iPhones and laptops in the house. Bank deposits, documents of villas and plots were confiscated. ACB is investigating in depth the existence of huge property in benami name. Shiv Balakrishna has been arrested and ACB officers can present him in the court today.

ACB officers will open bank lockers today

ACB had started raids at 20 places of Balakrishna from 5 am on Wednesday. ACB teams searched the offices of HMDA and RERA, while raids were conducted at Balkrishna's house and other key places related to the investigation. A case of unaccounted wealth was registered against him. There are suspicions that he has misused his position to accumulate wealth on a large scale. ACB suspects that Balakrishna has accumulated assets worth more than Rs 200 crore. ACB search continues at Shiv Balakrishna's house for the second day. ACB is now investigating his bank lockers and other undeclared assets. ACB officials will open the bank locker today in the presence of family members.
