ED action continues against TMC leaders in West Bengal. In this connection, today the ED team reached the house of absconding TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan. In fact, on January 5, when the ED team was going to raid Sheikh Shahjahan's house in Sandeshkhali village, it was attacked by the mob, after which they had to return.
Today the ED team left for Sheikh Shahjahan's house along with several other teams at around eight in the morning. Along with the convoy of ED team, many vehicles of security forces were also there. However, there is no news about Shahjahan's whereabouts. ED officials have pasted a notice on the house and sealed it and Shahjahan has been asked to appear before the ED on January 29.

Who is Sheikh Shahjahan?
TMC leader Shahjahan is also the Fisheries and Animal Resources Officer of North 24 Parganas District Council and Block President of Sandeshkhali. He is close to Forest Minister Jyotipriya Malik in the Mamata government. ED has arrested Jyotipriya Malik on 27 October 2023 in the ration scam case. ED was also going to the house of TMC leader Shahjahan on January 5 to conduct raids in the same case, when the team was attacked on the way.
