3rd T20I: After 2 super overs, Team India registers a thrilling win, clean sweeps Afghanistan

 


India defeated Afghanistan in the second super over in the third T20 International match. With this, India made a clean sweep of Afghanistan 3-0. For the first time in T-20 International, there have been two super overs. India could score only 11 runs in the second super over because two players were out. According to the rules, after 2 players are out in the super over, the entire team is considered out. Although one ball was left. Rohit scored 11(3) runs in the second super over. Farid Ahmed came to bowl the second super over for Afghanistan. Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets in three balls to bowl the second super over for India. 

Afghanistan, batting first in the first super over, scored 16 runs. India could also score only 16 runs. In this Super Over, Yashasvi Jaiswal had to play the last ball for India and Rohit was retired out. Rinku came on non-strike just to run. Rohit scored 13(4)* runs. He hit 2 sixes in a row. Azmatullah Omarzai came to bowl the first super over for Afghanistan.

On the last ball of the first super over, Mohammad Nabi played a dot ball to Mukesh Kumar. However, 3 runs of overthrow came on this ball. However, when wicketkeeper Sanju threw the ball, it hit Nabi. Indian fielders expressed displeasure over this. Rohit Gusse was not happy with this but Nabi says that he did not change his line of running. 

Batting first, India scored 212 runs on the scoreboard after losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. For India, the maximum runs came from the bat of captain Rohit. He scored a century of 121* runs in 69 balls with the help of 11 fours and 8 sixes. He scored this 5th T20 International century in 64 balls. Apart from him, Rinku Singh played a half-century inning of 69* runs in 39 balls with the help of 2 fours and 6 sixes. Both of them made a partnership of 190* (95) runs for the fourth wicket. Farid Ahmed Malik took maximum 3 wickets for Afghanistan. Azmatullah Omarzai was successful in taking one wicket. 

Chasing the target, Afghanistan scored only 212 runs after losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Gulbadin Naib scored the most runs for Afghanistan. He played an unbeaten half-century of 55 runs in 23 balls with the help of 4 fours and 4 sixes. This is his second consecutive half-century. Apart from them, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and captain Ibrahim Zadran played half-centuries of 50(32), 50(41) runs respectively. Both of them gave a great start to the team by making a partnership of 93 (66) runs for the first wicket. Washington Sundar got the maximum 3 wickets from India. Avesh Khan and Kuldeep Yadav got one wicket each.
