IMD Weather Alert: Fog Will Prevail In Many States Of The Country Including Delhi, Visibility Will Be Affected, Alert Issued, New Western Disturbance Will Affect The Weather.

 


IMD Weather Update Today 27 December 2023: While the increasing cold in the weather has increased the chill, fog has engulfed the cities at many places, the Meteorological Department has also warned the country including the capital Delhi for the next four days i.e. till 31 December. An alert has been issued regarding dense fog in many states.

A dense blanket of fog will cover these states of the country 

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert saying that there will be dense fog in Punjab, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh including Delhi for the coming 3-4 days. The Meteorological Department said that some districts of Uttar Pradesh will also be affected by the fog.

Effect of fog here too, visibility will be affected 

On the other hand, IMD has predicted that visibility will be affected in Odisha, Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland along with other states of the North-East. According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog is expected in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir also.

New western disturbance will bring rain 

IMD issued an advisory saying that a new Western Disturbance is forming from December 30, which is very likely to affect the Northwest, under its influence easterly winds will blow and from December 30 to January 2, Northwest and adjoining Central India. There is a possibility of light rain.

Snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir 

The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in Tamil Nadu from December 30 to January 1. The Meteorological Department has said that there are chances of cloudy sky and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir on January 1-2.
