In the 13th season of the Big Bash League (BBL 2023-24), the 14th and 15th matches of the tournament were played today. In today's matches, Melbourne Stars defeated Sydney Sixers by 4 wickets, while Perth Scorchers won against Melbourne Renegades by 13 runs. In the first match, Hilton Cartwright of Melbourne Stars (30 balls, 47*) and in the second match, Josh Inglis of Perth Scorchers (44 balls, 64) was selected as the player of the match.

After losing the toss and batting first, Sydney Sixers team scored 154/8 in 20 overs. Opener James Vince played a solid innings for the team. He scored 83 runs in 55 balls with the help of eight fours and two sixes. Jack Edwards contributed 30 runs and Josh Philip also contributed 19 runs. Usama Mir and Haris Rauf took three wickets each for Melbourne Stars.

Perth Scorchers vs Melbourne Renegades

Melbourne Renegades won the toss and elected to bowl first and while electing to bat, Perth Scorchers scored 162 runs losing all their wickets in 19.4 overs. For Scorchers, Josh Inglis scored 64 runs in 44 balls with the help of three fours and four sixes. Captain Aaron Hardy also scored 57 runs in 41 balls. Tom Rogers and Will Sutherland took three wickets each for Melbourne Renegades.

In the reply innings, Melbourne Renegades were successful in playing the entire over but could only score 149/8. Shaun Marsh played a tremendous inning of 59 runs in 36 balls. Joe Clark also scored 32 runs. However, the team could not reach the target due to the flop of other batsmen.
