2nd T20I: Harry Tector shines in Ireland's victory, defeats Zimbabwe by 4 wickets

 


Ireland defeated Zimbabwe by 4 wickets in the second T20 International match with the help of Harry Tector's brilliant innings. With this victory, they leveled the 3-match T20 International series at 1-1. In this match held in Harare, Ireland won the toss and decided to bowl. 

Batting first, Zimbabwe scored 165 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. The maximum runs for the team came from the bat of Clive Madande. Facing 39 balls, he played an unbeaten inning of 44 runs with the help of 2 fours and a six. Tinashe Kamunhukamwe faced 27 balls and scored 39 runs with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes. Whereas Ryan Burl contributed 38 unbeaten runs with the help of 3 sixes in 33 balls. Burl and Madande made a partnership of 87* (69). Mark Adair took maximum 2 wickets for Ireland. Gareth Delaney, Curtis Campher and Craig Young got one wicket each. 

Chasing the target, Ireland won the match by losing 6 wickets and scoring 166 runs in 19.4 overs. Harry Tector scored the most runs for the team. He played an inning of 48 runs in 38 balls with the help of 5 fours. Curtis Campher played an inning of 37 runs in 24 balls with the help of 4 fours. Tector and Campher made a partnership of 66 (43). Mark Adair scored 19 runs in 13 balls with the help of one four and one six. Richard Ngarawa got the maximum 2 wickets for Zimbabwe. Blessing Muzarabani, Luke Jongwe, Trevor Gwandu and Brian Bennett got one wicket each.
