World Cup 2023: Maxwell trapped in Shamsi's spin, this is how the stump was uprooted, watch video

In the second semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Tabraiz Shamsi bowled brilliantly and clean bowled Glenn Maxwell. In this match, after winning the toss and batting first, the South African team was all out on the score of 212 in 49.4 overs.

Tabrez Shamsi, who came to bowl the 24th over of the innings, bowled the fourth ball which was a short ball which came out quickly after being pitched. Maxwell tried to play a pull shot on this ball but missed the ball completely. The ball hit the leg stump. Maxwell was out after scoring just one run. The way Shamsi celebrated after this is commendable.

Batting first, South Africa was all out at 212 in 49.4 overs. The maximum runs for the team came from the bat of David Miller. He played a century inning of 101 runs in 116 balls with the help of 8 fours and 5 sixes. Heinrich Klaasen played an inning of 48 runs in 48 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes. He and Miller made a partnership of 95 (113). Gerald Coetzee scored 19 runs in 39 balls with the help of 2 fours. Coetzee and Miller added 53 (76). Mitchell Starc and captain Pat Cummins took maximum 3-3 wickets for Australia. Travis Head and Josh Hazlewood took 2 wickets each.

South Africa's playing XI: Quinton de Kock (wk), Temba Bavuma (captain), Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Gerald Coetzee, Kagiso Rabada, Tabraiz Shamsi.

Australia's playing eleven: Travis Head, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Steven Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Josh Inglis (wicketkeeper), Pat Cummins (captain), Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood.
