According to the Panchang, Shuklapaksha Dashami date of Ashwin month is known as the great festival of Dussehra or Vijayadashami. According to the Panchang, the auspicious time for worship of Vijay Muhurta on this day will be between 01:58 to 02:43 pm. The time of puja performed in the afternoon will be from 01:13 to 03:28 pm.

To get the blessings of Lord Shri Ram on the day of Vijayadashami, after taking bath and meditation in the morning, first of all spread a yellow cloth on a post in your puja house and establish Ramdarbar and anoint it with milk, curd, ghee, Ganga water etc. After this, worship Lord Ram with flowers, sandalwood, incense, lamp etc. and offer him food and chant his mantra as much as possible. At the end of the worship of Lord Ram, perform Aarti with full devotion and faith in him and pray to him for happiness, prosperity and good fortune.

Importance of worshiping Aparajita Devi

According to Hindu belief, to achieve victory in every sphere of life, a person should especially worship Goddess Aparajita on the tenth day of Shuklapaksha of Ashwin month. Aparajita Devi should always be worshiped in the afternoon while facing North-East i.e. North-East and should worship Shodashopachar to get the blessings of Jaya and Vijaya Devi.
