Navratri Vrat 2023: Navratri has started. Today is the first day. Many people keep a fast for 9 days to please Goddess Durga. During Navratri fasting, most people follow fruit diet i.e. consume fruits as much as possible. Apart from this, they also consume food like Sama rice, buckwheat flour, sago, Rajgira, water chestnut flour, potato, colocasia, pumpkin, sweet potato, bottle gourd, cucumber, carrot, spinach. All these things help in nourishing the body during fasting and are also beneficial in reducing hunger. You can do fasting like dieting but you will have to take full care of your eating habits.

During Navratri fasting, wheat, semolina, rice, corn flour, maida and pulses are avoided. If you stay away from unhealthy food during the fast and eat some healthy food during the Navratri fast, then not only your blood sugar and cholesterol levels can come under control, but your weight can also reduce rapidly. Let us know how to diet during the 9 days of Navratri fasting.

Know how you can diet :

Fasting is a natural way to detox the body and strengthen the digestive system. By fasting, the intake of calories in the body reduces which leads to weight loss. Apart from this, the digestive process also improves which helps in digesting food and keeps weight under control. However, it is important to take a balanced diet after the fast so that the weight does not increase again. Therefore, fasting is an effective and natural way to lose weight. While fasting, it is also important to drink enough water and do physical activity.

Take care of proper eating habits during fasting.

During fasting, consume buckwheat flour, water chestnut flour, rajgira flour, sama or sago, but keep in mind that instead of puri, pakoda, you should make halwa or khichdi or rotis with them. These flours are gluten free and are more energetic and nutritious. Excessive frying increases the calories in food, which can increase weight.

Eat fruits instead of potatoes.

You should try to avoid eating oily food during the fast. These look tasty but eating them during fasting can make your weight increase faster instead of decreasing. Therefore, you can include fruits instead of potato fries. Due to which weight can be controlled.
