Buying goods online has become a necessity for people nowadays. People are buying almost everything online. It has two benefits. Firstly, you do not need to wander from shop to shop to buy any item and secondly, you get the goods cheaper than the shops by purchasing them online. However, sometimes it happens that people get cheated while online. People buy different things and their reach is different, but nowadays a case is in the news which has surprised people.
In fact, such an item arrived at a woman's house which she had not even purchased and that item was such that even she was stunned to see it. The matter is such that a big package from Amazon arrived at the home of Joelle Engleheart, a resident of Canada , which had a thousand condoms inside and the surprising thing was that the woman had not bought it. But still, in exchange for that package, 700 dollars i.e. about 58 thousand rupees was deducted from his account.
Money deducted from credit card without purchase
According to the New York Post report, Joel was busy taking care of her ailing husband in the hospital when she got a message from Amazon that her parcel was about to arrive. Since Joel and none of her family had made any such purchase, she ignored the message, but she was surprised when she saw that money had been debited from her credit card in exchange for that parcel.
Got money back after 4 months
He then complained to Amazon, but was refused saying that condoms cannot be returned as they are 'personal items'. Now what should Joel do? She was embarrassed and disappointed at being charged a lot of money for something she had never ordered. Joel told that she struggled to get her money back for four months and now finally she has got her money back. Amazon took back his parcel and returned his money to Joel. The company also apologized to him.
