Russia's Foreign Ministry on Thursday declared two US diplomats persona non grata on charges of involvement in illegal activities. The ministry alleged in a statement that Jeffrey Silin and Devin Bernstein, secretaries of the US Embassy in Russia, had been in contact with the former US Embassy employee in Vladivostok who was arrested earlier this year.
The former employee is accused of gathering information for US diplomats about Russia's military actions in Ukraine and related issues. US Ambassador to Russia Lynn Tracy was summoned on Thursday and informed of the expulsion of Silin and Bernstein, according to the statement.

Meanwhile, Slovakia said on Thursday it was expelling a diplomat from the Russian embassy in the country's capital Bratislava for violating international treaties. Slovakia's Foreign Ministry said the diplomat has been ordered to leave the country within 48 hours.
America warned Russia
