Expert committee should be formed in Adani-Hindenburg case, application filed in Supreme Court

An application has been filed in the Supreme Court in the Adani-Hindenburg case. In which it has been demanded that it is not right to include OP Bhatt, KV Kamath (banker) and senior advocate Somasekhar Sundaresan in the inquiry committee.

Now another application has been filed in the Supreme Court in the Adani Hindenburg case. In the application filed in the Supreme Court in the Hindenburg case, it has been demanded that a new expert committee be formed for the investigation. There has been a demand to include such people in this committee who are associated with finance, law and stock market. A new petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of Anamika Jaiswal. In the petition, objection has been raised to the inclusion of OP Bhatt in the committee.

Actually, after the order of the Supreme Court, a committee was formed to investigate the Adani-Hindenburg case, in which OP Bhatt has been included. It has been said in the petition that OP Bhatt is the current president of the company Greenco. This company is working with Adani Group. Before this he had also been the Chairman of State Bank of India. In such a situation, it is not right to include him in the committee.

Objections were also raised on these names in the application

In this application, he also raised objection on the inclusion of former banker KV Kamath and security lawyer Somashekhar Sundaram in this committee, saying that their inclusion in the committee is creating conflict of interest.

These people are included in the committee

At the beginning of the year, short seller firm Hindenburg had accused Adani Group of regulatory failure and violation of laws. After Hindenburg's allegations, there was a huge fall in the shares of Adani Group companies and Adani suffered huge losses. The Supreme Court had constituted a six-member panel to investigate this entire matter. It was led by retired judge AM Sapre and included Justices JP Deodhar, OP Bhat, MV Kamath, Nandan Nilekani and Somashekhar Sundaresan. The committee has submitted the report to the Supreme Court after two and a half months of investigation. Now the petitioner has requested for the formation of a new committee.
