Ukraine: In the midst of the ongoing war with Russia, Ukraine did such an act, which hurt the religious sentiments of the Indian people. However, Ukraine is sorry for its actions and has sought an apology from India. In fact, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has shared a photo in which Hindu goddess Maa Kali was shown in an objectionable manner. After some time, Ukraine realized what it had done and deleted the tweet.

Now Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Emin Zhaparova has apologized for the shameful act done by his Defense Ministry. He has tweeted saying that we regret that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine distorted the Hindu goddess Kali. Ukraine and its people respect the unique Indian culture and highly appreciate the support. The picture of Kali Mata has already been removed. We are determined to further enhance cooperation in the spirit of mutual respect and friendship.

What was the whole matter

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine had tweeted an indecent picture of Kali, the revered mother of Hinduism, on which Indians got agitated. A picture of Kali Mata was shown above a plume of smoke in a tweet shared by Ukraine. The tongue was visible in the picture. Along with this, there was a garland of skulls around the neck of Mata Kali. Twitter handle @DefenceU tweeted this photo with the caption "Work of Art". On which Indian users got angry. Ukrainian Defense Ministry deleted the tweet after Indians expressed their anger. The photo was posted on 30 April.

Many people criticized the Government of Ukraine saying that after seeking help from India, Ukraine has done this petty act. This tweet of the Ministry of Defense came a few days after Emine Zhaparova's visit to India. Emine Zhaparova was the first high-ranking Ukrainian official to visit India since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war in February 2022.
