T-Series is the biggest music company in the country today , but its journey is no less than an example. Which tells that nothing is impossible. The YouTube channel of a company with a net worth of 2400 crores is also the most subscribed channel in the world. It is the biggest music label in the country. But T-Series did not achieve this feat just like that. There is a long story of struggle for this. Let's know how the journey of T-Series started.

Chandrabhan Kumar Dua, father of Gulshan Kumar, who laid the foundation of T-Series, came to India from Pakistan in 1947 and settled in Delhi. Started selling fruits and juices in Delhi's Daryaganj. Gulshan Kumar was born on 5 May 1956. Born in a Punjabi family, Gulshan started helping his father's business.

The decision that changed life

Apart from the fruit and juice business, Gulshan Kumar started selling audio cassettes. After collecting money from this business, he started a music production company Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited on July 11, 1983 in Delhi.

This was the period when people were fond of listening to songs from discs, but they saw Japanese cassette players in the market and were confident that one day cassettes would replace discs. So he started preparing to go to the cassette.

In that period, companies like Gramophone Company of India and Music India Limited dominated. After bringing the cassette, Gulshan Kumar's company T-Series slowly started making its place among the middle class. This is the biggest turning point.

This strategy gave momentum to the company

Gulshan Kumar understood very well that it is very important for the retailer to benefit in business. So he planned to take back the cassettes from the retailer which could not sell. Due to this strategy, Gulshan Kumar's relationship with the retailer became stronger. To take the company forward, he decided to move to Mumbai.

At that time there was a copyright law, under which any song could be re-recorded after 3 years of its release. Gulshan Kumar took advantage of this. After the completion of three years of the song, it was recorded by another singer and sold in the form of cassettes. This strategy took the company to great heights. As a result, be it devotional or filmy, cassettes of T-Series started reaching every house.

He gave chance to singers like Sonu Nigam and Anuradha Paudwal. Gradually veteran singers of that era started giving voice for T-Series and the company created history. The company was at its height even when on 12 August 1997, shooters opened fire on them in the Andheri area of Mumbai. He died.

This shock had broken the whole family. But handling the situation, son Bhushan Kumar took command of the business and took T-Series to such a point that father Gulshan Kumar had dreamed of.
