Any seller registers on this platform, from which the customer can buy goods directly. As soon as the order is placed, its lead reaches the delivery partners, where they pick and deliver the order as per their requirement. Nandan Nilekani, who gave the country a platform like 'Aadhaar', also played an important role in building this network.

Why is shopping cheaper at ONDC?

Due to its non-profit platform, the shopkeeper does not have to pay a commission of up to 30 percent on his order like Swiggy or Zomato.
