Trent Boult created history by dismissing Virat Kohli on the first ball, made 2 records in IPL

Rajasthan Royals pacer Trent Boult created history with his superb bowling spell in the IPL 2023 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday (April 23). Boult got Bangalore's Virat Kohli lbw out on the very first ball of the innings.

Boult has completed his 100 wickets in IPL as soon as he dismissed Kohli. Bolt has done this feat in 84 innings. With this, he has reached joint fifth place in terms of taking the fastest 100 wickets in IPL. Apart from him, Yuzvendra Chahal also reached this figure in 84 matches.

Boult has also reached the joint third spot in terms of dismissals of batsmen for the most number of times in the IPL. Bolt and Umesh Yadav have not allowed the batsmen of the opposing team to open their account.

Bolt took 2 wickets for 41 runs in four overs of his quota. Apart from Kohli, Bolt also made Shahbaz Ahmed his victim.

Batting first after losing the toss, Bangalore had a bad start and Kohli and Ahmed were dismissed and returned to the pavilion on a total score of 12 runs. After this, captain Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell handled the innings by scoring stormy half-centuries and shared a century partnership for the third wicket.
