UP Polytechnic Admission 2023: UP Board 10th and 12th examinations have ended. Students can register till May 1 for admission in polytechnic colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Applications can be made through the official website jeecup.admissions.nic.in. The process of registration starts from 6 March 2023.
Please tell that 12th pass can also do diploma from polytechnic. Admission will be through Joint Entrance Examination. The entrance exam will be held from 1 to 5 June 2023 at designated centers across the state
How many seats are there in UP Polytechnic?
At present, a total of 77 courses are running in UP Polytechnic and there are a total of 2.28 lakh seats. These include engineering, pharma, hotel management and other courses. If you have done Inter or ITI, then you can take admission through lateral entry. Lateral entry means you will get admission directly in the second year. Those applying for one year course of Post Diploma in Industrial Safety coming under Group L will be selected on the basis of interview. Its date has not been declared yet.
The admission process will start after the declaration of the result of the polytechnic entrance exam. Diploma is the best course for students seeking government jobs. After doing three years engineering diploma, one can get the job of junior engineer in the government departments of the state. The government has just fixed the qualification diploma of junior engineer. The polytechnic institutes being run under the Council of Technical Education, apart from engineering, teach many other courses in different groups.
10th, 12th and graduates can also do the course
Engineering Diploma in Group A is of three years, in this 10th pass students can take admission. On the other hand, in Group B, Diploma in Agriculture Engineering of three years, matriculation pass has also been prescribed for it. In Group C, there is three years Diploma in Fashion Designing and Garment Technology, it is mandatory to have 10th pass for admission in this also.
Group D has two years Diploma in Modern Office Management. One must have 12th pass for admission in this. And in Group D, there is a two-year diploma in Library and Information Science. 12th pass can also take admission in this. And in Group G, PG Diploma in Computer Application is of two years. For admission in this, it is necessary to pass graduation.
