Satish Kaushik passed away: Mumbai. Famous actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away due to a heart attack in the early hours of Thursday. His close friend and actor Anupam Kher gave this information. Satish Kaushik was 66 years old. Kher said Kaushik was at a friend's house in Delhi when he complained of uneasiness. Kher said that after feeling uneasy, Kaushik asked the driver to take him to the hospital. He suffered a heart attack on the way (on his way to the hospital) at around 1 am.

Earlier, Kher had written in a tweet that he was shocked to hear about Kaushik's sudden demise.

Kaushik's last post on his official Twitter account had shared pictures from the annual Holi celebrations organized by noted lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar in Mumbai on March 7.

Actress Kangana Ranaut, who worked with Kaushik in the film Emergency, remembered him as a "kind and genuine person". 'Emergency' is yet to release.
