H3N2 Virus: H3N2 virus of influenza is becoming a threat to the country. So far five patients have died due to this. On the one hand influenza is spreading and on the other hand heart diseases are also increasing rapidly. Doctors say that the influenza virus can be dangerous for patients with heart diseases. If heart patients get virus infection then the situation can worsen. In such a situation, they should be saved. Heart patients will have to take special care of their health at this time.

Doctors say that any virus affects more on patients suffering from other serious diseases. This happens because the body is already fighting a disease. In such a situation, when infected with the virus, the immune system is not able to fight it properly. Due to this the condition of the patient starts deteriorating. Since the body of heart patients is already struggling with this disease, H-3N-2 infection can cause severe symptoms. Due to which there can be a chance of being admitted to the hospital.

Dr. Deepak Suman, Senior Resident Doctor in the Cardiology Department at Safdarjung Hospital and Chief Consultant, FAMA , explains that heart patients should not take flu symptoms lightly. If these patients have complaints of cough, cold or fever, then contact the doctor. This is because at this time the patients of influenza are complaining of cough and cold. In the investigation, many people are also getting positive from H-3N2. In such a situation, if people with heart diseases get infected with influenza, then their condition may worsen. That's why caution is the only protection. Treatment can be easily prevented by getting treatment as soon as the symptoms appear.

What should heart patients do?

Dr. Deepak Suman explains that heart patients have to be protected from flu at this time. Try not to leave the house unnecessarily and do not go to crowded areas at all. If you have to go out for important work, wear a mask. If any person around has a problem of cough or cold, then keep distance from him. Follow this at home as well. Check your BP daily and keep taking your medicines regularly.
