Akash Jhathe, 21, worked as a housekeeper and his girlfriend, Vaishali Goware, 16, was a student. At present, the police have registered a case of accidental death and are now recording the statements of the family members.

Samtanagar police sent couple's dead body for postmortem

A call was received at Samta Nagar Police Station in Kandivali East, Mumbai at 12.30 pm on Friday. It was told that the dead bodies of two people were lying in the ditch of Janupada. One of them is a boy and one is a girl. As soon as the information was received, the police team from Samtanagar police station reached the spot. The dead body was recovered and sent for postmortem and further action was initiated.

Slept after having dinner on Thursday night, not found in bed on Friday morning

In the interrogation of the family members of both, it was found that the minor girlfriend Vaishali slept after having dinner on Thursday night, but in the morning her family members found her missing from her bed. Searching around, he could not be found anywhere. After this, the family members of Vaishali informed the Samta Nagar police station. Police registered a missing report and started investigation.

'I'm leaving, never coming back'

So far in the investigation, it has come to know that Vaishali and Akshay went out of their respective houses on Friday morning. After leaving the house, Akshay sent a message to his family members from his mobile phone. Wrote in the message – I am leaving, will never return now.
