After reaching Karnataka on Sunday, he gifted projects worth crores of rupees in Mandya. PM Modi said, the state-of-the-art road infrastructure projects being launched in Karnataka today will boost connectivity across the state and strengthen economic development.

PM Modi remembered two great men

PM Modi said, today the foundation stone of Mysuru-Kushalnagar 4 lane highway was also laid, all these projects will give a new direction in the way of development. Many congratulations to all of you for this. PM Modi said, whenever there is a discussion related to the vision of infrastructure in India, the names of two great personalities always come forward. Krishna Raja Wadiyar and Sir M. Visvesvaraya. This region has given both these great men to India.

PM Modi said, inspired by such great personalities, work is being done on modern infrastructure in the country today. Today Karnataka is changing with the Bharatmala and Sagarmala projects. The country is changing. PM Modi said, infrastructure does not only bring convenience, but also brings employment, investment and means of earning.

PM Modi said, both Bangalore and Mysore are important cities of Karnataka, one is known as technology and the other as culture, both are very important for modern India. For a long time commuters used to complain about heavy traffic between the two cities but now this expressway will cover the distance in just one hour

Target on congress

PM Modi said, before 2014, there was a Congress government at the Center, during that time they had left no stone unturned to destroy the poor man. The Congress government had looted thousands of crores of money meant for the development of the poor. Congress has never made any difference to the pain and suffering of the poor.

PM Modi said, Congressmen who are dreaming of digging Modi's grave do not know that the blessings of crores of mothers and sisters of the country are Modi's biggest security shield. Road show done in Mandya

Earlier, after reaching Karnataka on Sunday, PM Modi took out a big road show in Mandya. During this, flowers were also showered on him. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai welcomed PM Modi in Mandya after the roadshow. At the same time, strict arrangements were made for security during the road show earlier. PM Modi has come to Karnataka on a one-day tour. During his road, the entire convoy was seen following him. This visit of PM Modi is happening at a time when elections are to be held in the state in the next two months.

16,000 crore project

During this, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of major projects worth Rs 16,000 crore in Mandya and Hubli-Dharwad and inaugurate the expressway. PM Modi will inaugurate the 10-lane Bengaluru-Mysuru highway in Karnataka.

Will gift these projects

PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development initiatives in Hubli-Dharwad at around 3.15 pm after Mandya. After this, he will dedicate the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway to the nation.

The project includes six-laning of the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta-Mysuru section of National Highway-275. About Rs 8,480 crore will be spent in developing this 118 kilometer long expressway. This will reduce the travel time between Bengaluru and Mysuru from about three hours to about 75 minutes.

Apart from this, the PM will also lay the foundation stone of the four-lane highway between Mysuru-Kushalnagar. The 92 kilometer long highway will be developed at a cost of about Rs 4,130 crore. Prime Minister Modi will dedicate IIT Dharwad in Hubli-Dharwad to the nation. He laid its foundation stone in February 2019. 850 crore rupees have been spent in its development.
