The patient from Karnataka showed severe symptoms like fever, throat infection, cough . This information has been released by the Health Department on Friday. The 82-year-old patient, a resident of Alur taluk of Hassan district, was admitted to the Hassan Institute of Medical Science on 24 February. The patient died on 1 March.

In view of the situation of this serious virus in the country, the central government is in alert mode. Now NITI Aayog is going to hold an important meeting on this on Saturday. In this meeting, the current status of this virus in the states will be reviewed. The situation of all the states will be reviewed. After this, if any state needs the Centre, then the need will be provided to it.

The Center said that the H3N2 virus is being closely monitored. The central government is monitoring this virus in all the states on real time basis through IDSP i.e. Integrated Disease Surveillance Program. The Ministry of Health of the Central Government is hopeful that by the end of March the pace of seasonal influenza virus will slow down.

According to media reports, so far 90 cases of H3N2 virus have been reported in India. The cases of this flu-like virus are increasing in the country. 1. 2. When this virus infects humans, at that time it is in the form of a variant virus. H3N2 virus was first seen in 2011. It was found in cattle, pigs and humans. Apart from this, the H1N1 pandemic came to the fore in 2009.

6. People who are infected with the H3N2 virus are advised to take medicines on the advice of a doctor. Recently the medicines that are given during its infection are oseltamivir, zanamivir, peramivir, and baloxavir. All these medicines are given after the prescription of the doctor.

7. Some precautions include annual flu vaccination and regular hand washing. Especially after using the washroom, washing hands thoroughly before eating and before touching your face, nose and mouth are also included in the rules of its prevention.

8. During this time people are advised to avoid going to overcrowded places and do not interact much with the sick person. In case of flu, people are advised to stay at home for 24 hours after the fever subsides.
