World's longest river cruise journey, when will the journey of 'Ganga Vilas' end

MV Ganga Vilas: The journey of MV Ganga Vilas, the longest river cruise in the world, started from Varanasi on 13 January. The journey of this cruise will end in Dibrugarh on 28 February. According to the Ministry of Ports, the cruise will cover a distance of 3,200 kilometers in 50 days before reaching Dibrugarh on February 28 via Patna Sahib, Bodh Gaya, Vikramshila, Dhaka, Suderban and Kaziranga National Park . The made-in-India cruise ship MV Ganga Vilas was launched on 13 January after being flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Already booked for the next two years

A unique design and futuristic vision, the cruise has three decks and 18 suites with a capacity of 36 tourists. It is already booked for commuting for the next two years. Many officials will be part of this welcome ceremony, in which the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways i.e. MoPSW, Sarbananda Sonowal along with other Union Ministers, State Ministers, diplomats and other officials will be included.

Chintan Shivir at Kaziranga Park from 27-28 February

Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) for the development of inland water transport infrastructure in North East several projects like fairway, terminals and navigation aids have been completed and some of them are in progress.

According to an internal study of IWAI done in the year 2017, 49 MMTPA cargo moves outside North East region and 30 MMTPA cargo moves inside North East region as well.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of AYUSH will organize Chintan Shivir at Kaziranga National Park in Assam from 27-28 February. The two-day session will focus on sectors under AYUSH and futuristic reforms in already existing policies and programs related to traditional medicine.

According to reports, MV Ganga Vilas has put India and Bangladesh on the river cruise map of the world. In this way, a new work place is being opened in the Indian subcontinent for tourist and freight transportation.
