Rahul Gandhi Remarks: 'The statement given in the Lok Sabha is absolutely correct', Rahul Gandhi replied to the LS Secretariat on the notice of BJP MPs

Rahul Gandhi Reply: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has submitted a detailed reply to the Lok Sabha Secretariat on the BJP members' notice. The matter pertains to his remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the House . Sources gave this information on Wednesday. On February 7, Rahul Gandhi had made remarks against Modi during the discussion on the 'Motion of Thanks on the President's Address'.

According to the news agency PTI, Rahul Gandhi had to reply to the breach of privilege notice in this matter by 15 February. In this matter, on February 10, BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey and Prahlad Joshi had issued a notice against him and the Lok Sabha Secretariat had asked him to reply. The MPs had issued a notice on Gandhi's February 7 speech in which he commented on the Hindenburg-Adani issue.

Rahul Gandhi replied

Sources said Gandhi has given a detailed reply running into several pages, citing various laws to justify his remarks made in the Lok Sabha. Addressing a gathering in his Lok Sabha constituency Wayanad on Monday, Rahul Gandhi criticized the decision to delete several comments from his speech made during the discussion in the House. The Congress leader had also said that he has given information and evidence in a letter to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha about each of his remarks removed from the proceedings of Parliament.

What did the BJP allege

Both the BJP leaders, in their notices to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, alleged that Gandhi's remarks were baseless and that he had used "unparliamentary and derogatory" language. So the speaker removed Rahul Gandhi's comments after his speech.
