Only 50 percent of the mother's hugs seem bigger than the children's, revealed in the survey report

A recent social survey conducted by ITC Sunfeast Moms Magic said that people hug their mothers 50 percent less when they grow up than when they were children.

In today's run-of-the-mill world, stress is increasing due to different reasons. Often we watch online content to relieve stress . They resort to things like gaming or passing time on social media . At the same time, due to increasing workload and other social responsibilities, it is becoming less and less for people to spend time with their parents or stay close to them. Keeping this in view, a recent social survey conducted by ITC Sunfeast Moms Magic states that people hug their mothers 50 percent less when they grow up than when they were children.

In a statement issued by ITC, it has been said that 60 percent of the people surveyed said that their mother is the biggest source of happiness. It has been revealed in the survey that hugging your mother not only relieves your stress but also makes you feel more happy.

Survey conducted in three cities of the country

A survey was conducted in association with Crownit across Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai among 321 participants to understand how the habit of people hugging their mothers has changed over the years. Ali Harris Sher, Chief Operating Officer, Biscuit & Cakes Cluster, Foods Division, ITC Ltd. said that hugs are a way of showing affection and act as an important bond between mothers and babies. As we grow up and move forward in life, the closeness with our mothers reduces considerably. Puneet Kapoor, Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy South, says that in our busy and stressful lifestyle, we are constantly looking for new ways to maximize the moments of happiness. In this search, we often turn to technology and mobile/laptop screens. Although technology can increase our happiness for some time, but it is always far away from real happiness.

Learn the main points of the survey:

1. While the adolescent generation saw a 31 percent decrease in the habit of hugging their mother when they grew up as compared to childhood, there was a 33 percent decrease in the younger generation. It was also observed that students hug their mothers more than employed people.

2. The most common and favorite way to relieve stress is listening to songs, watching content on OTT comes second and hugging mothers comes third.

3. Apart from this, people hug their children 6 times a week, spouse or husband-wife 5 times a week, while mothers hug only about 3 times a week.

4. When survey participants were asked how hugging their mothers made them feel, more than 60 percent said they felt relaxed, uplifted and happy.

5. Both men and women were involved in this survey conducted among people in the age group of 13 to 35 years. The survey was divided into categories such as students, employed people, housewives and youth living with or away from their parents.
