Tata's daughter-in-law takes over her father's legacy, will command the car company

Mansi Tata, the daughter-in-law of the Tata family, took over her father's legacy on Thursday. After this, now the command of a big auto company of the country will be in his hands.

Mansi Tata, daughter-in-law of the Tata family, one of the country's biggest industrial houses, took over her father's legacy on Thursday. Now she will take over the car company set up by her father, which her father had brought from Japan to India. Before bringing this company to India, his father had spent months on the shop floor of the company's factory in Japan.

We are talking about Toyota Kirloskar Motor Company. Mansi Tata is the only daughter of the company's late chief Vikram Kirloskar. Toyota sells luxurious SUV cars like Innova and Fortuner in the country.

Mansi became Vice Chairperson

According to the news of PTI, the vehicle company Toyota Kirloskar Motor has appointed Vikram Kirloskar's daughter Mansi Tata as the new Vice Chairperson with immediate effect. Apart from this, she will also become the Vice Chairperson of Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts (TKAP) .

Mansi is already a member of the Board of Directors of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited. Apart from this, she also plays an important role in making corporate decisions and strategy of Toyota Kirloskar.

Mansi was married to Ratan Tata 's half-brother Noel Tata 's son Neville in 2019. With this relationship, she became the daughter-in-law of the Tata family.

Vikram died of heart attack

The credit for bringing Toyota to India goes to Vikram Kirloskar. Vikram Kirloskar died of cardiac arrest in November last year. The Board of Directors of the company has informed the stock market about the appointment of Mansi Tata.

Masakazu Yoshimura, MD and CEO of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, says that Mansi Tata has a good understanding of India's car market. Along with this, she has been an encouraging leader of the team, her arrival will strengthen Toyota Motors.

This is how father parked Toyota Kirloskar

Mansi's father Vikram brought Toyota to India after a lot of struggle. After his death, Venu Srinivasan of TVS Motor Company wrote in a memoir, “I have known Vikram for the last 40 years. He didn't leave it to the engineers in his team to partner with Toyota. Rather spent months on the shop floor of Toyota's factory with their general manager."

He told that Vikram himself understood the working of every machine, noted every minute detail. He always believed that if any work has to be done, it should be done in the most correct way. Vikram was not even afraid to get his hands dirty on the shop floor. At the same time, he used to ask thousands of questions to know everything.

Srinivasan says that even if he has become a big industrialist or he has got immense wealth, but the engineer inside him always remained alive. His hard work paid off and he set up a completely new manufacturing system according to Toyota's needs.

Mansi also has this responsibility

Kirloskar Systems Pvt Ltd in December inducted Mansi Tata on the board of directors of its joint venture companies, including Toyota Industries Engines India Pvt Ltd, Kirloskar Toyota Textile Machinery Pvt Ltd, Toyota Material Handling India Pvt Ltd and Denso Kirloskar Industries Pvt Ltd .
