The names of these three Indian women in the Forbes list, made a place in the top 20 industrialists


The list includes names of SAIL chairperson Soma Mandal, Emcure Pharma executive director Namita Thapar and Honsa Consumer co-founder Ghazal Alagh. Some of the women on the list are working in sectors such as shipping, real estate and construction, while others are taking up new jobs in areas such as technology, medicine and commodities.

Three Indians have been included in the list of 20 Asian women entrepreneurs published in the November issue of Forbes. The list included those women who achieved great success in growing their business amidst the uncertainty created by the Kovid-19 epidemic. The names of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) chairperson Soma Mandal , Emcure Pharma executive director Namita Thapar and Honsa Consumer co-founder Gazal Alagh are included in the list.

Forbes said in a statement on Tuesday that some of the women on the list are working in sectors such as shipping, real estate and construction, while others are pursuing new work in areas such as technology, medicine and commodities. Other women on the list are from Australia, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.

Who is Soma Mandal

The first name in the Forbes list is of Soma Mandal, who is the chairperson of SAIL. Mandal took over the biggest post of SAIL in 2021. The important thing is that Soma Mandal is the first woman to reach this position in the cell. Soma Mandal, who studied Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela in 1984, started her career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at NALCO. While working here, Soma reached the post of Mandal director. Then in 2017, he took over the responsibility of the director in SAIL. In 2021, Soma Mandal was made the chairperson of SAIL.

Know about Namita Thapar

The second name in the list of Forbes is that of Namita Thapar, CEO of Emcure Pharma. Born in Maharashtra, Namita Thapar was educated in Pune. In Pune itself, he completed his studies till graduation. Thapar holds a Chartered Accountant degree from ICAI. Later Namita Thapar went to America, but she returned to India to handle her business. Namita Thapar, the owner of crores, is a well-known personality of the pharma industry.

Who is Ghazal Alagh

The third name is of Gazal Alagh, the co-founder of Honasa Consumer. Alagh is also the Chief Innovation Officer of his company. He was born in Gurugram, Haryana and did his post graduation from Panjab University. Alagh started Honsa Consumer Private Limited (Mama Earth) in 2016. Today this company is a unicorn brand which runs from Gurugram. This company makes toxin free, natural body care, skincare, haircare products and products for children.
