Yes, but this chili is not a common chili, but it is the world's hottest chili. A man from California, USA, has registered his name in the Guinness World Records by eating not one or two but 10 Carolina Reaper peppers in a record time.
Actually, Carolina Reaper pepper is called the world's hottest chili. According to reports, a person named Gregory Foster ate 10 chilies in just 33.15 seconds and made a unique world record.
Although this is not the first time that Gregory Foster has eaten the world's hottest chili, but before that he has eaten Carolina Reaper. A few months back, he had entered the Guinness World Records by eating three chillies in just 8.72 seconds.
According to media reports, before Gregory, the record of eating this chili in the shortest time was in the name of Mike Jack. He did this feat in 9.27 seconds, but Gregory took less time than that and now he has made a new record by eating 10 chillies in the shortest time.
You will be surprised to know that about 15,69,300 SHU i.e. Scoville Heat Unit is found in Carolina Reaper Chilli grown in America, whereas SHU i.e. level of pungency in common chilli is close to 5000. Now you can understand how difficult it is to eat one chili, while Gregory ate 10.
