This time Panchami of Shukla Paksha of Shravan month is falling on 2nd August. The Panchami Tithi of Sawan month will start from 05:13 am on 02nd August and will end at 05:41 am on 03rd August. According to the Hindu calendar, Nag Panchami festival will be celebrated on 2nd August. The auspicious time of worship on this day will start from 5:43 am on 02nd August to 8:25 am.

If you are thinking of fasting on Nag Panchami, then first make 8 snakes. Let us tell you that on this day there is a law to worship the Ashtnagas named Annat, Vasuki, Padma, Mahapadma, Takshak, Kulir, Karkat and Shankh.  

Nag Panchami fasting starts from Chaturthi Tithi. Take one meal on this day on the day of Chaturthi. And fasting is done on the day of Panchami. Have food in the evening. 

- While worshiping, keep a wooden picture of the snake deity on the post. And worship by offering turmeric, roli, rice and flowers. 

After worshiping the snake deity, mix ghee, sugar in raw milk and offer it to the snake deity.

Significance of Nag Panchami Vrat 

Since ancient times, the snake has been considered as a deity and has been worshiped. On the day of Naam Panchami, all snakes are worshipped. Worshiping the deity of the snake with devotion on this day reduces the fear of being bitten by the snake. On this day, taking a bath with milk and giving milk to the snake gives renewable virtue. On this day a picture of a snake is placed at the main gate of the house. By putting a picture of a snake on the main gate, the grace of the deity remains on the devotees.
