Karnataka Muslim Girl Students Suspended: Hijab issue is still going on in Karnataka. A college here suspended 6 girl students because they were not ready to attend class without hijab.

According to the information, the matter is of Upinangadi PU College in Dakshina Kannada. Here 6 girls were not ready to attend the class without hijab. After this the college administration tried to convince them a lot but they did not agree. After this the college administration took action.

Earlier, the college administration tried its best to make the girl students understand and follow the order of the court. Despite this, the girls remained adamant. In such a situation, the college administration discussed this topic in a meeting and suspended all the 6 girl students till further orders.

High Court had ordered

The Karnataka High Court upheld the hijab ban in schools and colleges and said that covering the head by Muslim women is not a necessary religious practice in Islam.

Court dismissed the petitions

Along with this, the court had also dismissed writ petitions seeking permission to wear hijab in colleges by Muslim girl students.
