Amazing Research: Rat is more afraid of this fruit than a cat, you will be surprised to hear the name

Latest Viral News: If someone asks you what are rats most afraid of, you will probably answer that from cats. But it is not so, more than cats, rats are afraid of something that you might not be able to imagine. Surprisingly, it is not an organism, but a fruit. Recently a research has revealed that rats are very afraid of bananas. Although this discovery has not happened under planning, but unintentionally, but now it is being discussed a lot.

What is full research

In this study report published in Science Advances, scientists have told that, 'After seeing bananas in male rats, stress was found more. According to media reports, the research team of Magkill University in Montreal was doing research on pregnant and lactating female rats. During this show how female rats are showing aggression to stranger male rats. During aggression, female rats reacted with urine markings. This reaction was given to drive away and warn the stranger male rats, but the team was surprised to see how the male rats, known for their aggression, ran away from the chemicals of the female rats.

The rat ran away after smelling the urine

After this the team started research on it. Professor Jeffrey Mogil, involved in this study, said that rats and other mammals use their sense of smell. The smell of urine has different meanings for all of them at different times. Sniffing signals are usually sent by males to a female, but here the opposite happened. In this research, the female rat sent a sniffing signal to the male rat. It was clear from this that the female mouse is telling the stranger to stay away from the male mouse.

This is the banana theory

Now the research team had to find out what was there in the urine mark left by the male mouse, seeing that the male mouse had to run away. When the team worked on this, it was found that there was a compound named N-Pentyl Acetate in the urine of lactating female rats. It is similar to the compound found in many other large fruits including bananas. Scientists told that to make banana extract, it is extracted from the fruit. This chemical causes changes in hormones in male rats. After this the team planned to work on this theory separately. They put the banana extract in the cages of male rats. After this he was surprised to see the result. Actually, after seeing the banana extract, the stress was increased in the rats. This tension was exactly the same as during a fight with other rats.
