Team India became number-1 in T20 under the leadership of new captain Rohit Sharma, got fourth place in ODIs


Under the leadership of new captain Rohit Sharma 
, India finished the 2021-22 season as the world's number one T20 team after a stellar performance in the home series. In the ICC rankings released on Wednesday, Team India is at the first place with 8,093 points and a rating of 270.

While India remains on top in T20Is, second-placed England is with a rating of 265. Pakistan (261) is in third place, South Africa (253) in fourth place and Australia (251) in fifth place

South Africa and Australia have overtaken New Zealand, who are now in sixth place. Similarly, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are now ahead of Afghanistan (10th).

On the other hand, in the ICC ODI rankings, New Zealand continues to top with a rating of 125 while England has moved up to the second position with a rating of 124. Australia (107) is in third place, while the Indian team is at number four with a rating of 105. In fifth place is Pakistan (102).
