India's unique village where people are banned from wearing footwear, know the reason behind it

Although wearing shoes and slippers is a part of our daily life in today's time, but can you imagine that you have to live without shoes and slippers forever?
Surely most of you would not even want to imagine such a thing. But there is a village in India where there is a complete ban on wearing shoes and slippers.

We are talking about Kalimayan Village, 20 km from Madurai in Tamil Nadu, the people of this village forbid their children to wear slippers and shoes. In this village, if anyone accidentally wears shoes, then he is punished severely.

That's why these people don't wear slippers

It is said that the people of this village have been worshiping a deity named Apachhi for centuries. They believe that only these gods protect them. To show faith in this deity, it is forbidden to wear footwear inside the village limits.

You will be surprised to know that the people of this village have been following this wonderful tradition for centuries. In such a situation, if the people of this village have to go out, they wear slippers in their hands after going out of the village limits and then when they come back, they take off the slippers before the village limits. In such a situation, people here also get angry in the name of wearing shoes and slippers.
