Good food is very important to keep our body energetic. It is said that if we stay away from diseases, then we should take a good diet. But as important as a healthy and balanced diet is for good health, water is equally essential. Actually, drinking water keeps our body hydrated. Along with this, water also plays a very important role in flushing out the toxic elements from the body. According to doctors, a person should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to stay fit. It has often been seen that some people swallow water immediately after eating, but in Ayurveda it has been considered very wrong. Ayurveda says that there are many things that we should avoid drinking water immediately after eating. Let us give you information about some such things, whose water should not be drunk immediately after eating.

Gram-

If you have eaten any item made from gram or gram like gram dal or gram flour etc., then you should refrain from drinking water immediately. Actually, the stomach has to work very hard to digest the gram, but when we drink water, it is not digested properly, due to which the digestive system gets disturbed and problems like stomach pain arise.

Fruit-

Fruits are a boon for our health. Our body gets strength from fruits and the digestive system remains healthy. But the thing to keep in mind here is that we should not drink water immediately after consuming fruits. This is also because fruits already contain up to 90 percent water. In such a situation, by drinking water immediately after the fruits, we may have to face problems like cough, sore throat or upset stomach.

Ice Cream-

Summer and or winter ice cream is always everyone's favorite. But it has been seen that people drink water immediately after eating ice cream. But the thing to know is that drinking water over ice cream can cause problems like cold and hot, due to which diseases like cough, cold, gas and acidity can occur.

Peanut-

People consume a lot of peanuts during winters. But do you know that water should not be drunk immediately after eating peanuts. Because if you do this, then it can cause problems like sore throat, cough and itching.
