According to research, about 46-115 particles of microplastic have been found in 200 grams of salt sample taken from Gujarat. At the same time, about 23-110 particles of microplastic have been found in 200 grams of salt sample taken from Tamil Nadu. Extremely dangerous chemicals like polyethylene, polyester and polyvinyl chloride have also been found in these samples, which are very harmful for the body. Vidya Sakar, Assistant Professor, National Center for Polar and Ocean Research, has told that the particles found throughout the research are very harmful to the body and can cause many diseases.
