one inch peeled ginger, 4-5 cloves, one teaspoon ground black pepper, 5-6 fresh basil leaves, half teaspoon honey, two inches cinnamon. Boil water in a deep saucepan. When the water is boiling, crush ginger, cloves, black pepper and cinnamon. After boiling water, put all the crushed ingredients in a saucepan along with basil leaves. Cook on medium heat for about 20 minutes or till the mixture reduces to half. After that prepare your decoction and use it hot with honey.

Use of honey, ginger and cinnamon gives an additional protection level to your immunity level. These ingredients are good for your digestive tract due to their antimicrobial properties and also help in controlling diabetes. Its antioxidant properties help fight fatigue and boost energy levels. The decoction can be made with many herbs and spices. Turmeric is also great to include in that, as its natural anti-inflammatory properties are evident.
