IGNOU started certificate course in Sanskrit, know what is the eligibility and fees


Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started certificate course in Sanskrit. 
Candidates who want to register for this new course can apply online through the official website of IGNOU at ignou.samarth.edu.in. Course in Sanskrit will be available from July 2021 session. Those who have passed class 12 examination can apply online till July 15, 2021. The duration of the course is minimum six months and maximum one year. The course fee is Rs 1500, while the registration fee is Rs 200.

Earlier, the School of Performing and Visual Arts (SOPVA), IGNOU had launched the Master of Arts in Drawing and Painting or MADP program, which will start from the July 2021 session.

IGNOU said, “The program aims to provide education to discerning students who do not have access to study fine arts through traditional systems.” The program is designed for "serious fine arts students" seeking higher education, and includes core components such as the Elements and Theories of Art, Art History, Art Education, Aesthetic Theories and Research Methods of the University. Accordingly, employed, self-employed, freelancers, designers, painters, textile professionals, interior decorators, school and college teachers, aspiring professionals etc. can avail the program.

Students with a bachelor's degree in drawing and painting, fine arts, visual arts, or animation, design, fashion, technology, textiles or any allied subject can apply for this program. The university said that the medium of instruction would be English. However, students will be allowed to complete their assignments and exams in Hindi. The duration of the program is two years. The total fee for the program is Rs 16,500, which is to be paid in two installments at the rate of Rs 8,250 per annum.

Apart from this, IGNOU has also started post graduation course in Urdu. IGNOU's School of Humanities has started this course under distance learning. Through this course, it will help to understand the languages ​​spoken in different countries. You can see the details of the course on the official website of IGNOU at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
