Heat Stroke Remedies: Do these 3 things to avoid heat stroke, Texas University professor told a big thing

Heat Stroke Remedies: Professor Gabriel Neal of Texas A&M University said he knows very well how a large number of people need to be hospitalized due to heatstroke and how it causes death. it occurs.

Heat Stroke Remedies:Many times people also die due to heatstroke. Heat stroke occurs when a person's body temperature (over 104 degrees Fahrenheit i.e. 40 degrees Celsius) rises too much. Due to the extreme temperature and humidity of the environment, the body is unable to cool itself down through sweat and respiration. When a person is exposed to heat stroke, his heart beats faster, his breathing becomes faster, he experiences problems like dizziness, nausea and muscle spasms and experiences confusion and eventually the patient may lose consciousness completely. Gabriel Neal, clinical associate professor of family medicine at Texas A&M University, told College Station (USA), July 11 (The Conversation) that as a doctor, he knows very well how to cause a heat stroke. The number of people requiring hospitalization and how people die because of it.

If medical treatment is not done immediately, heatstroke is often fatal. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an average of 658 people die from heat stroke each year in the United States. People of any age group can be affected by heatstroke, but it mostly affects the elderly, especially people over 70 years of age, as our body's ability to cool itself decreases with age.

Additionally, many common medications used to control blood pressure, seizures and psychiatric disorders impair a person's ability to control body temperature. If an elderly person is not aware of the dangerous heat wave, does not have an air conditioner (air conditioner) in his house and there is no one to take care of him, then the danger increases.

Apart from increasing age, other factors that increase the risk of heat stroke are obesity, diabetes and heart disease. There are three ways to deal with this potentially fatal condition:

1. Keep drinking water. Increase water intake in hot weather and avoid drinking sugary beverages and alcohol. If your doctor has limited your daily intake of water because of a heart problem or any other disease, keep in touch with them during a heat stroke to avoid medical complications.

2.Take a rest. Do not exercise during the day when it is hot. That is, avoid exercising from 10 am to 5 pm. Stay in a cool place. If your home or car does not have air conditioning, wear light and loose clothing, avoid exposure to direct sunlight, splash water on yourself and sit in front of a fan, take a cold shower, cover your neck , place a cold water cloth over the armpit or head and ask your local health department for information about local heat-relief shelters.

3.Fans are helpful in avoiding heatstroke, but they do not reduce the temperature of the air, but due to air on the skin, sweat dries easily and the body temperature decreases. Fans are useful, but an air conditioner is better in extreme humidity, as it produces dry air that cools the body more easily. Keep yourself cool, rest and do not let the body lack water.
