So that's why the Twitter account is deactivated and the blue badge is removed, know what is the real reason

Amid the ongoing tussle between Twitter and the government, the microblogging platform has removed the Blue Badge (Verification) from the accounts of Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu and some top leaders of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
It includes the names of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and RSS's Suresh Soni, Suresh Joshi and Arun Kumar. However, later Twitter has re-verified Venkaiah Naidu's account i.e. put back the blue badge. But still the discussion about this has intensified on social media. Apart from this, there is also talk about this matter, on which case Twitter can consider someone's account as an inactive account.

In fact, if we talk about Twitter's inactive account policy, then according to Twitter, Twitter wants that more and more people have been active on it since creating the account. In such a situation, if you are not active then the account can also be deactivated. According to the rules of Twitter, it is necessary to login to the account once in 6 months. Otherwise, the company will remove your account for being continuously inactive. So let's know. Regarding some other questions related to this..

How does Twitter know that your account is inactive?

Inactivity is tracked by the microblogging platform according to the login in the account. In such a situation, not logging into the account for more than 6 months can make your account inactive. However, the thing to note here is that by looking at an account, you cannot say whether that account is active or inactive because all the things in the activity are not publicly visible. You can find out more about this here (https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/inactive-twitter-accounts).

Blue badge or verification may be removed due to these reasons

In accordance with the Twitter Terms of Service, Twitter may remove the Blue Verification Badge and Verification Status of a Twitter Account at any time without notice. If you change your account name (@handle), if your account becomes inactive or incomplete, or if you are no longer in the position you were initially verified – such as an elected government official who Leaves the office – and your badge may be removed if you do not otherwise meet Twitter's criteria for verification.

According to the information on Twitter's blog post, the company may also remove the blue badge from accounts that make serious or repeated violations of Twitter's rules. This includes:
* Impersonating or intentionally misleading people on Twitter by changing your display name or introduction.
* Serious violations that may result in immediate account suspension.
* Repeated violations in Tweets, including but not limited to: -
Hateful behavior -
Abusive behavior -
Promoting
violence - Social integrity policy -
Personal information policy -
Platform manipulation and spam Policy

Removal of badges based on repeated violations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and is not automatic. Please note, the Company may suspend accounts that use or similar imagery of the verification badge to mislead the public about the account's verification status. You can find out more about it here (https://help.twitter.com/en/managing-your-account/about-twitter-verified-accounts).
