Jharkhand News: Big announcement of CM Hemant Soren, declared Black Fungus epidemic in the state

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren made an important announcement on Tuesday, declaring black fungus as an epidemic in the state.
The Chief Minister's Office gave this information today. The state government made this announcement about a month after the central government's appeal in which states and union territories were asked to declare black fungus as an epidemic.

Black fungus is a rare infection caused by exposure to mucor mold found in soil, plants, compost and rotting fruits and vegetables. Anti fungal drugs are used in its treatment. Here the state government has imposed a lockdown till June 17 in view of the situation of infection in the state. Although people at various levels are also exempted from lockdown.

In this, permission is being given to open all the shops in all the districts except East Singhbhum till 4 pm. The shops that were closed earlier were allowed to open till 2 pm. According to the order issued by the Home Jail and Disaster Management Department in East Singhbhum district, all shops will be allowed to open till 4 pm. Apparel, textile, jewellery, footwear and cosmetic shops will remain closed.

All shops in the state, including those selling fruits, vegetables, groceries, sweets and food items, will remain closed from Saturday from 4 pm to 6 am on Monday. The restrictions will not apply to drug shops, clinics, hospitals, petrol pumps, LPG outlets, CNG outlets, home delivery restaurants, dhabas located on national and state highways, cold storages, godowns and goods unloading. (including agency input)
