A team of Indian scientists has claimed to have made significant progress in diagnosing cancer at an early stage. The team says their findings relate to a controversial part of cell biology. If the validity of this discovery is proven by early experiments, the blood test technique developed as a result of this discovery could dominate the multi-billion dollar annual business in the market.
A simple but effective test can detect
cancer at an early stage and with the help of a simple blood test, it is a great achievement for the health world. Indian scientists have achieved great success in this matter. According to a recent online publication in the journal Stem Cell Review and Reports, only 1,000 people have had a clinical trial.
25 types of cancer can be caught
The most special thing about this discovery is that it can identify 25 types of cancer. In some cases, it may even detect the cancer before it develops. The most important thing in the treatment of cancer is that the later the diagnosis of cancer, the greater the risk to the patient.
Who developed it?
This test is called HrC. This method has been developed by Mumbai-based biotechnology form Epigenus Biotechnology Pvt. Ltd. in association with Jar Lab Pvt. Ltd. of Singapore. Vinay Kumar Tripathi, a nanotech scientist from Mumbai, and his family have a large stake in these companies. This is the first prognostic test for cancer in the world, says Ashish Tripathi, chief executive of Jar Lab.
