Maharashtra Oxygen Tank Leaks: Oxygen tank leaks in Nashik hospital, 22 people dead


Oxygen Leak in Nashik has caused panic in a hospital in Nashik, Maharashtra today. 
The incident is from the Zakir Hussain Municipal Hospital in Nashik, where oxygen started leaking suddenly from a tank. While refilling from the oxygen tanker to the tank, leakage from the valve began. Technicians were not present when the leakage started while refilling from the tanker to the cylinder.

On seeing the smoke spread in the entire hospital premises. In the beginning people felt that there was a fire somewhere. People immediately called the fire brigade in this regard. Police has also been informed about this. District Magistrate Suraj Mandhare has confirmed that 22 people have died in the incident. Earlier, Health Minister Rajesh Tope and Municipal Commissioner Kailash Jadhav had issued a statement saying that the news of the tragic death of 11 people was coming in the incident. Apart from these, the condition of 30 people is said to be critical.

The Rescue Team of the Mahapalika has reached the spot. In the Corona era, when the country and Maharashtra are going through a crisis of lack of oxygen. Many corona infected are dying due to lack of oxygen on time. State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said to Newztezz that the oxygen spread in the premises due to leakage in the tanker's valves.

'People lost their lives due to low pressure'

The Collector of Nashik says that the oxygen tank installed in the hospital was damaged. Because of this, the pressure came down in the morning. During this time, patients did not get oxygen on the ventilator, due to which 22 people have died so far. The same tank started again after half an hour and oxygen is being supplied from it. But during this time the accident has happened due to low pressure. Someone is guilty in this accident, on which the collector said that he cannot say anything right now.

Health Minister said this

Health Minister Rajesh Tope said, "Of the 157 patients admitted, 67 were critical, ie those who needed oxygen. The leakage in the valve caused the supply drop. Of the 22 dead, 11 are male and 11 are female. 22 people died because oxygen could not reach the patients on the ventilator after leakage.

News of 11 deaths, 30 people in critical condition

This incident of oxygen leakage occurred from the oxygen tank located at Zakir Hussain Hospital in Nashik at around 12.30 pm. 23 out of 150 patients in the hospital were on ventilators. According to Health Minister Rajesh Tope and Municipal Commissioner Kailash Jadhav, the news of the tragic death of 11 of these people is coming. Apart from these, the condition of 30 people is said to be critical.

Municipal commissioner Kailash Jadhav has said that the culprits will not be spared. Whoever is found guilty will be booked for murder.

Fadnavis should not speak up

In the oxygen leak case, former CM Devendra Fadnavis said that, a full investigation will continue. But care should be taken that such an incident does not happen next. We are partners in the grief of the family members who died.
