Lockdown: One week lockdown in Delhi from tonight, know what will open and what will remain closed


The pace of corona infection in Delhi has now intensified. 
Record breaking cases are coming out of the national capital every day. In the midst of rising corona cases, the Delhi government has announced a week-long lockdown. This lockdown will be implemented from 10 o'clock tonight and will continue till next Monday i.e. 26 April.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said in a press conference that the lockdown is being announced in Delhi for 6 days from today. This lockdown will continue till next Monday. Kejriwal appealed to the people to never go out during lockdown.

CM Kejriwal said that banks will remain open during lockdown. Public transport will also run, although only people with essential services will be allowed to travel in public transport. The Chief Minister of Delhi said that only 50 percent people are allowed to be present at weddings.

Important things-

- The offices of the Government of India will be open.

- Only 50 percent people will be allowed to attend the wedding ceremony. Passes will be issued for this.

- Pregnant women will be allowed to travel in public transport with valid medical papers.

- Doctors and nurses will also be allowed to come and go with a valid ID card.

-Media employees will also be allowed to travel anywhere with a valid ID card.

- Cinema halls will be completely closed during lockdown.

- People going to bus station, railway station and airport will be allowed.

Public, political, religious programs were completely banned.

- Banks, ATMs will be open and petrol pumps will be open.

- Vegetable and grocery stores will be open.

'Never hid anything from the people of Delhi'

Arvind Kejriwal said that about 1 lakh tests are being held daily in Delhi. We have never missed a test. Never hide death statistics. Everything is kept with sincerity. Kejriwal said that the maximum number of tests are being done in Delhi per 10 lakh population. The government has not hidden anything from the people of Delhi. Information about beds and deaths has also been given.

The Chief Minister said that if 25 thousand patients come daily then the system of Delhi can collapse. Kejriwal said that there was a meeting with LG Anil Baijal at 11 am today. After a conversation with LG, it was felt that if a lockdown is not imposed now, a big tragedy can happen. He said that lockdown is being imposed from 10 am to 5 pm today. This decision has been taken when there was no other solution left.

Kejriwal has appealed to the migrant laborers that there is a small lockdown. Stay in Delhi. He said that I have been against lockdown, but if the health system reaches its limit, then lockdown has to be imposed. Everyone is requested to follow the lockdown.
