Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan's Foi Rima Jain's son Adar Jain made his Bollywood debut in 2017 with the film 'Prisoner Band'. The film was rejected by the audience. Now almost four years later, Adar is making a comeback in Bollywood with 'Hello Charlie'. The film has big names like Jackie Shroff, Rajpal Yadav and Darshan Jariwala along with Adar Jain, but it is difficult to say how much the film can make you laugh.

The story

The story of the film is about Chirag Rastogi alias Charlie (Adar Jain) who has come from Indore to Mumbai to succeed without any plan. He has to pay off the debt owed to his deceased father. As soon as he earns money, Charlie takes a job in which he has to deliver a gorilla from Mumbai to Diu. In this regard, businessman Makwana (Jackie Shroff) has committed fraud with many banks and wants to flee the country. For this he has disguised himself as a gorilla. The strange situation in the film arises when the real gorilla of the circus also comes along with Makwana in the gorilla's dress. What happens next? We have to watch the film to see if Makwana manages to escape.

Review

Charlie and Makwana's interest in the film awakens when Diu's journey from Mumbai begins in a truck. During this trip Charlie talks a lot to Makwana who is made up of gorillas and Jackie Shroff dances a lot in response. A lot of new characters are added to this journey which seems to stretch the story and the film becomes boring. You know which direction the film should go but the director derails the film every time. Perhaps the director has forgotten that making a good comedy film requires excellent writing and comic timing.

For example, there was nothing special in the story of films like Dhamal, Golmaal, No Entry but these films were chosen only because of the tight script and comedy timing. Such chemistry is not seen between Adar Jain and Jackie Shroff. Respect Jain needs to pay more attention to his acting. Despite the good looks, cousin Ranbir Kapoor comes to mind every time he sees respect. Respect expressions and voices are similar to Ranbir's but his respect for acting is weak. Alan Nourauji is looking good in a small role. Rajpal Yadav, Darshan Jariwala, Siddhant Kapoor and Shloka Pandit have nothing special to do. So once again the respect seems to get disappointment from the viewers.

Why watch

This movie can be seen if there is nothing to watch on weekends.
