Skoda Octavia will be launched in India next month, know every detail related to price and features

The new Skoda Octavia is to be launched in India in April 2021. Announcing its 2021 strategy, Jack Hollis, Sales, Service and Marketing Director of Skoda Auto India Private Limited has confirmed this on its social media platform. He also revealed that deliveries for the 2021 Skoda Octavia will start from the end of May 2021. The announcement comes after the company launched its upcoming Skoda Kushak SUV.

The new Skoda Octavia is longer and larger than its previous model launched in the international market in 2019, even with a larger boot space to be given and the new Skoda Octavia has been redesigned. It features a new front apron and new headlights with LED technology for day-time running lights as standard. LED technology has also been provided in tail lights, brake lights and fog lights. The all-new Skoda Octavia has grown to 19 mm in length compared to its predecessor, to 4,68 mm. Compared to the previous model, its interior is quite luxurious.

Interesting features to be found in the new Skoda Octavia 

The 2021 Octavia is the first Skoda model equipped with a new multi-level dashboard and a redesigned two-spoke steering wheel. A touch control slider with a 10-inch variant of the center display, one-touch key for essentials, as well as a selection of buttons and curled scroll wheels on the multifunction steering wheel to improve ergonomics and make operation easier . A total of 14 tasks can be performed using buttons and wheels, including activating optional heating for the steering wheel and operating travel assist. The experience of the new LED is very impressive. The chrome elements make the center console and door trims look luxurious, which features a door design in a new design.

232 kmph top speed

Powering the 2021 Skoda Octavia will be a 2.0-liter TSI (turbo-petrol engine) that generates 190bhp power and 320Nm peak torque. The car will have a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The petrol unit will follow the BS6 emission standard. This car can reach 0-100kmph in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 232 kmph. Its price can start from Rs 17 lakhs for 2021 Skoda Octavia, up to Rs 25 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). This car will compete with its only rival in the Indian market, the Hyundai Allantra.
