Jaguar Land Rover India has launched the most awaited Jaguar I-Pace in India on Tuesday. Its price starts from 1.06 crores and goes up to 1.12 crores (ex-showroom). Jaguar i-Pace has become the second luxury electric SUV in the country after Mercedes-Benz EQC. JLR India started booking for e-SUVs from November 2020.
The Jaguar i-Pace has been one of the flagship products of the British luxury carmaker. The SUV has won several awards, including the 2019 World Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year and World Green Car. In addition, the Jaguar i-Pace was the first car to have won all three World Car titles simultaneously. In terms of design, the Jaguar I-Pace has been introduced with a very smooth look. It has signature Jaguar grille, LED headlamps and great looking air intakes. Matrix technology is available in the headlamps so that the driver will not have to worry about the traffic coming. At the rear, it has a very good look with LED tail lamps and coupe-esque roof.
What is special in Electric Jaguar I-Pace
- Jaguar I-Pace's cabin gets futuristic with the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system. The 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
- Inside the cabin of the I-Pace 16-speaker 380 Watt Meridian 3D surround audio system, wireless charging, a PM2.5 air filter, panoramic sunroof, 8-way adjustable semi-powered Luxtec sport seat, interactive driver display, 3D solar camera Features such as display, adaptive cruise control, driver condition monitor, a head Jaguar are among the great features available.
- For safety features, i-Pace has six airbags, ABS, ESC, emergency brake assist, front and rear parking sensors and 360-degree camera.
- Speaking of powertrains, the Jaguar i-Pace SUV has a 90kWh lithium-ion battery pack onboard which takes 45 minutes to recharge up to 80% through a 100kW fast charging unit. The 7kWh small AC wall box charger can take up to 10 hours to fully charge the battery.

Jaguar claims, the I-Pace will be able to cover a distance of about 480 kilometers on a single charge. It gets two electric motors generating 395 Bhp and 696 Nm peak torque. The EV also gets an AWD (all-wheel drive) system. The electric SUV is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kmph in 4.8 seconds.
Its battery comes with 8 years or 160,000 km warranty. The owners of I-Pace also get a 5-year service package, a 5-year Jaguar Roadside Assistance. The i-Pace will compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQC and the upcoming Audi e-tron.
