A non-bailable warrant has been issued against former BSP MP and mafia don Dhananjay Singh for conspiring to murder Mau's gangster Ajit Singh in Lucknow. Sharp shooter Girdhari, accused of killing Ajit Singh in Lucknow last month, also died after being shot last week. Chief Judicial Magistrate Sushil Kumari has issued a non-bailable warrant against Dhananjay Singh. Senior police officials said that evidence of the involvement of the former BSP MP in the conspiracy has been found and their role in it is being investigated.
Dhananjay has bought a flat in Sharda Apartment located in Gomti Nagar Extension, where the shooter who killed Ajit Singh was staying. Qasim Abidi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police of East Zone, said that Singh was killed to prevent him from making a statement against Mafia don Kuntu Singh, who is accused of killing former MP Sarvesh Singh Supu in the year 2013.
Ajit Singh was a witness and his statement was very important in the case. Shivendra Singh, Rajesh Tomar, Bunty, Ravi Yadav, Sandeep and Girdhari, these six shooters, together opened fire on Ajit Singh and his accomplice in Lucknow on 6 January. Singh was killed in this attack, while his partner suffered serious injuries. Arrested shooter Sandeep had told the police during interrogation that Bunty, Shivendra and Bandhan took Rajesh, who was injured due to bullet injuries, to Dhananjay's flat and from there he was taken to a doctor in Sultanpur.
Later this same doctor from Sultanpur confirmed that he had received a WhatsApp call from Dhananjay on 7 January, in which he was asked to treat a gangster.
